Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering; Everyone welcome jam 6:45pm,  Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performers Clanna Morna at 9pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door

Hailing from Victoria, BC, Clanna Morna brings a unique west coast influence to Celtic folk. Their sound is rooted in the traditional Irish, Scottish, and English music they love and features carefully crafted arrangements, spirited energy, and captivating storytelling! The band is Cody Baresich (guitar, mandolins, Irish bouzouki, tenor banjo, percussion, vocals), Finn Letourneau (fiddle, banjo, vocals), and Mark Leigh (accordion, tin whistles, harmonium, vocals).

With their combination of traditional instruments and collective musicianship, Clanna Morna covers a wide swath of musical ground, paying tribute to and taking inspiration from legendary predecessors including The Dubliners, The Pogues, The Bothy Band, Planxty, and The Clancy Brothers.

Since their formation in the fall of 2020 Clanna Morna has toured the North-Western USA, British Columbia and Alberta unceasingly, delivering over 200 performances in their first two years together as an ensemble. Their debut album "From the Lowlands to the High Seas" was released on CD and all streaming services in June 2023.

A St. Patrick’s night of Celtic songs, tunes, storytelling, and good times…not to be missed!!
