Press Release: Van Music Party At The Railway Club on April 7th 2010.
Van Music www.vanmusic.ca presents a night of local talent every month at the Railway Club 579 Dunsmuir Street. This Wednesday April 7th we will showcase a stellar line up of Vancouver bands. Up coming talents Aunts and Uncles and Chelsea Johnson with her new band Sunday’s Best will open the night followed by an energetic east European rock flavor of Waltz Darling. Headlining will be The Get Down, a superb chameleonic band who just released their second CD Are you down! Doors at 8:30 PM tickets $10.
Van Music is a local webzine devoted to promote music. It is a fresh outlet & lifeline for Vancouver’s underground music talent. VanMusic’s web wants to provide a reliable location for the musicians in Vancouver to promote themselves and get to know their fans. VanMusic is the first place you'll find the newest and best music from Vancouver's Independent Music Scene. We intend to grow with the scene and it is our goal to propel the best musicians that Vancouver has to offer into the spotlight. Music is a movement that flows around the globe.
Also that night we will be giving away 4 tickets to see You Say Party! We Say Die!
That’s right VanMusic is giving away two pairs of tickets to the You say Party We Say Die show at The Rickshaw on April 16th 2010. We will be holding a draw on April 7th at The Railway club. If you would like to win a pair of tickets to see one of the best bands in Vancouver (and the international independent music scene in general), then send your name to us at [email protected] where we will add you to the draw. You can also listen to Friday Sunrise from 7:30am – 9am every Friday and The Morning After Show 11:30am – 1pm every Tuesday on CiTR 101.9 FM or at CiTR.ca for your chance to get on the list to win. You can only enter one time through email. However if you call into either of the radio shows mentioned above your name will be entered into the draw three times. Sunday’s Best
Chelsea Johnson has appeared on Canadian Idol on a few occasions and was even picked to go to Toronto. Her heartfelt tones and playful energy radiate from the stage while her songs keep you until the last note. Their band consist, besides Chelsea of these young talent Kenan, Moflo, and Adam Farnsworth. They are blues, soul, rock, you won´t be disappointed.

Aunts and Uncles
Aunts and Uncles formed in March of 2009, combining members from an eclectic mix of bands, including the SSRIs, Like Animals Again, The Barcelona Chair and Friends From School.
