Victoria, BC's Away, Ri'o can be described as moments of Neil Young's "Alabama" dancing handsomely with Tom Waits' "Cold, Cold Ground", though with enough Califone-esque percussion to make none of the three references entirely relevant. In their forthcoming EP, "the Darkest Among the Great Horses", Away, Ri'o solidify this unlikely union with enough feedback & saturation to keep it a warm marriage.
