JazzFest International 2005

As a founder of Victoria?s first JazzFest, which was held in the spring of 1985, it is now my great pleasure to welcome all to the 20th annual JazzFest International in Victoria! Starting with an operating budget of $10,000 in 1985, the Victoria Jazz Society presented a three-day-long weekend festival with eight performances at one venue, Market Square. Over the past twenty years we have seen some incredible changes to JazzFest International! The festival has grown to a 10-day event presented on multiple stages in our city. Currently with an operating budget of $600,000 JazzFest International 2005 will be presenting over 325 musicians from around the world in over 80 individual performances as well as 4 workshop/clinics.
