HOUSE OF BLUES CONCERTS CANADA presents

A SOLO EVENING WITH

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

SATURDAY, AUGUST 13TH

PONTIAC THEATRE AT GENERAL MOTORS PLACE

DOORS: 6:00 pm SHOW: 7:30 pm

**RESERVED SEATING**

Reports that Bruce Springsteen has had audiences eating out of his hands for every minute of his recent sold-out two-and-a-half-hour concerts should come as no surprise. Nor will fans be shocked to hear that reviewers have been describing Springsteen as being "in unbelievable form," "[still] an authentic stage animal," and that his shows have been called "a dream come true," "nothing short of magical," and that "nearly every moment resonated with truth."

After reclaiming his rightful place as America's premier rocker with his band the E Street Band, Springsteen is once again establishing himself as a master storyteller able to grip audiences with tales of hard luck men and women. On his first solo tour since the release of his 1995 album The Ghost of Tom Joad, Springsteen is playing career-spanning sets that include everything from early tracks like "For You" and "Promised Land" to Nebraska favourites "Johnny 99" and even "I'm on Fire" from the star-making Born in the U.S.A. record.

He's also playing tunes from his most recent rock record, The Rising, and highlighting this year's incredibly well received, mostly acoustic record Devils and Dust. The vivid, perceptive album shows Springsteen to be at the top of his form, and a master craftsman whose common touch and unflinching gaze lift him far above his contemporaries-a fact being confirmed by every moment of every show on his current tour.

Don't miss A Solo Evening With Bruce Springsteen live in Vancouver at the Pontiac Theatre at General Motors Place on Saturday, August 13th.
