| Nicholas Antoni Marek Gibas User Info... | After sitting back for around a year listening to this album on and off, i'm afraid i have to say that this is probably the most interesting album ever. It's interesting purely because of it's oddities, the set up of the whole album, the messed up time signatures, vocals, etc. I have also just recently bought "Chaosphere" as well, and am thouroughly impressed. The whole time this album plays however, I get a settling feeling. I dont know what the hell it is, but "Nothing" does "something" for me. It's not even a speedy album! It goes at it's own pace, giving the listener time to figure out what the hells going on. To someone who hasnt heard Meshuggah yet, I could only closely compare them to...nothing? I can't really say what they sound like, theyre metal, close to math-metal but far away from most math metal bands. It would be quite interesting to see this "powerhouse" perform live, let alone hear someone do a cover. The last track "Schism" just screams at me with it's hypnotic-induced insanity. "Straws Pulled At Random" fufills anybodies request for something more. Hell listen to this whole album, dont pause it for anything. You should listen to some real metal like Staind or Linkin Park, you know some bands with real talent.
