| Above the knee User Info... | Established Victoria melodic death metal band is in need of a new guitar player who is capable of busting out an occasional shredding solo. We have been together for nearly 5 years, have released an LP, toured Western Canada and played with various established signed acts. Our future goals are to record another album ASAP and get back to playing some big shows on and off the Island. We are looking for someone between 19 and 30 who owns/rents pro gear and is able to practice on a weekly (from 1 to 3 times a week) basis. Previous band experience is a big bonus but not necessary. I am available to teach/meet up. We have played with bands such as Augury, Aborted, Hibria and Napalm Death. I'll take the bait. - I asked you to send me a video of you doing some lead work since you have many videos up on Youtube so I figured it would not be a problem to take a couple minutes. You did not do this. - With this great attitude of yours, you've made me quite glad I made the right choice in not meeting up with you until I had a good idea if you had the chops and it would not be a waste if my time. I have every right to not set an audition if it has been predetermined that you are not the right fit. - Most importantly, your videos do not demonstrate even the slightest iota of guitar playing ability, despite your claims to the contrary. This band has made their bones in the metal community and word spreads quickly about who to play with and who not to play with. Sooner or later you'll want a gig so just keep that in mind.
